Japanese architecture student Yoshimasa Yamada won the Habitare Design Competition in Helsinki with his Katosiko Oksasi -outhouse. He used spruce, not widely appreciated as a building material because of so many branch holes. He turned the holes into little, round windows. As a result the privacy remains and the light sieves through beautifully. Pictures by Yoshimasa.

Yoshimasa Yamada voitti Habitare-suunnittelukilpailun huussillaan, jonka nimi on Katosiko oksasi. Arkkitehtioppilas sai materiaalin ilmaiseksi, oksainen kuusipuu ei ole suosittua. Huussin juju on oksanreikiin tehdyt pyöreät, pienet ikkunat. Yksityisyys säilyy, mutta valo siivilöityy kauniisti sisään.
